Bookkeeper

Job Description: General Accounting

  • Whole accounting function
  • Need to be able to work with foreign currencies
  • General administration
  • Preparing audits file for auditors
  • Download bank accounts and update journals daily
  • Cash flow management
  • Debtor's management (excellent telephone manner required; must be professional and very pleasant)
  • Creditors management
  • Preparing of all statutory documentation
  • Cost management and control
  • Experience in importing (all functions from ordering to logistics)

Salaries

  • Capture salary info every month
  • Keep employee file uptodate (leave, loans and HR letters)
  • Do IRP5 run at year end
  • Responsible for receptionist (letters, filling)

Job Skills Required:

  • A Diploma in Accounting or B.Com Degree
  • 5 Years experience in Accounting
  • Fluent in English and Afrikaans
  • Able to work on their own without much supervision
  • Able to take on more responsibilities than the job description requires
  • Quickbooks package knowledge
  • Computer literacy level: Internet; MS Office: Excel (essential), Word, Outlook; Quickbooks Accounting Package
  • Accurate, meticulous, detailed, precise, methodical and very people orientated

Receptionist / Office Assistant

Job Description: DSS is seeking a frontline, mature, responsible and professional Receptionist / Girl Friday / General Office Assistant.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be well groomed, well spoken with good telephone etiquette.
  • Have minimum of 2 years experience on Reception.
  • Handle diary appointments, schedule and plan meeting and able to manage a front-line reception position.
  • PC literate - MS Word, Excel and Internet, Basic.

Job Skills Required:

  • Matric with Secretarial Diploma
  • Excellent communication skills in Afrikaans and English
  • Friendly and outgoing personality & Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Assisting management & General office management
  • Scheduling meeting & Liase with clients
  • Computer literate in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Proactive and have an ability to work independently
  • Methodical and meticulous, quick learner
  • Experienced with filling, faxing, photocopying
