Recording of camera information is in the process of changing from the typical magnetic tape to computer based or digital recording, which provides an alternative to the conventional method of recording onto video recorders. Instead of storing video footage on magnetic tape, video is digitally compressed and stored directly onto a computer hard-drive. The most unrivalled advantage of a digital recorder is its powerful video retrieval system in which a time period is simply entered via the mouse and the system immediately displays the footage for that selected time slot for any camera. Although the video recorder is still used and preferred in many cases due to its reliable methods, the digital method of recording is becoming increasingly popular.

It was inevitable that CAMSEC would meet the challenge of the “digital boom” and provide quality products with a support program in tact. There are a number of products on the market today but few deliver the results acceptable and reliable for the security industry. With our technical knowledge we are able to discern between quality products and products that don’t meet the required CAMSEC standards.

Other services, which CAMSEC supply are:

Perimeter fencing (electric or barrier)
Access Control, Gate Automation
Alarm circuitry
Biometrics
Text Overlay
Time and Attendance
all of which can be integrated into a full system.

Onsite control rooms have being introduced to facilitate systems and procedures for the purpose of maximising their functionality. This keeps sites with installed systems focussed on their core business. Trained personnel are supplied to operate the systems installed making the system “pro-active”.  This new era of monitoring reduces conventional guarding, improves productivity and raises the level of security, as every camera now becomes a potential guard, monitored by a CAMSEC System Controller.

System Controllers Responsibilities

·         Monitor productivity.
·         Monitor security guards.
·         Ensure that the required security level is maintained.
·
Enforcing procedures set out by the customer.
·
Patrol premises or sites with the use of camera technology.
·
Operate within the time structures of the business in which they are monitoring.
·
Provide management with incident and productivity reports.
·
Ensure correct recording procedures of camera footage to tape or hard drive.
·         Notify CAMSEC office of faulty equipment.

VIDEO LINE TRANSMISSION

Our systems allows one to view, record and interact live with an installed security system from anywhere on the planet, via “land line”, cellular, satellite communication or any other digital transmitting device available, allowing for productivity and security monitoring.

This has revolutionised the alarm industry, allowing video verification of site alarms to be monitored rather than the conventional switch signal. The system can be set-up to accept incoming alarm images and automatically stay on line for high priority events such as panic, duress or armed hold-up. Potential risky visits to the site in the middle of the night by site owners, managers or Central Station patrols, are eliminated. All video alarms are automatically saved to hard disk for later recall with the facility for printing to a colour graphics printer. Video verified alarms also assist in obtaining an immediate police response.
